What are driver seats and how do they work?

Driver seats control who can receive routes and use the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app. Assign a seat to any driver in your roster to activate them; deactivate a seat when a driver is seasonal or temporarily off the road. You’re billed only for the number of seats included at your plan at any time. Deactivating preserves the driver’s details and history so you can re‑activate them later without re‑inviting.

Seat management is available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web from the Drivers & Vehicles tab of the EasyRoutes navigation menu, or the Billing tab of EasyRoutes Settings for plan upgrades/downgrades.

Yes. SMS usage rates and monthly plan prices are consistent between EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. Both use the same driver seat model: you pay only for active seats and can toggle them on/off as staffing changes, with automatic proration for plan and seat adjustments.

How do driver seats work?

Driver seats are active licenses you assign to people in your driver roster. You can toggle seats anytime and only pay for the seats on your plan at that moment. Charges/credits are prorated automatically when you add or remove seats.

Yes. Generate a dispatch link that lets eligible drivers claim a route themselves; the first to claim becomes the assigned driver.

No. Each route has one assigned driver at a time. To share the work, split stops across multiple routes or use self‑assign links on separate routes.
